The name ‘Mela’ originates from Sanskrit, meaning ‘fair’ or ‘festival’—a lively gathering where art, culture, and people collide in celebration. This essence perfectly captures the spirit of our newest small boutique concept hotel, where every room is a canvas and every stay feels like a celebration.
Inspired by the energetic and colorful world of Pop Art, Mela by Half redefines beachside stays with a twist of artistic innovation. The property’s six rooms are uniquely designed to be a visual treat, each inspired by the movement that took the world by storm in the 1960s. With bold colors, playful patterns, and striking imagery, the rooms draw heavily from Andy Warhol’s iconic style—a nod to the era when art became accessible, fun, and infused with everyday objects. This Pop Art Revolution was all about breaking boundaries and making art that resonates with everyone, from Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup cans to his unforgettable portraits of Marilyn Monroe. Here at Mela, we’ve captured that essence to create a dynamic, immersive experience and added our own twist for the better HALF also infusing the DESI element in the Pop Art Theme with Desi Pop Art!!!
The six rooms include two Standard Doubles for a cozy, intimate vibe, two Deluxe Doubles with a bit more space, one Family Room designed for a playful yet sophisticated stay for groups of 4 or families with kids and for those seeking something extraordinary, we present the Desi Sky Villa, a spacious retreat designed for up to 6-8 guests. Perched at the top, it offers panoramic views and an ambiance that channels the vibrant spirit of India’s endless Bollywood celebrations.
